Heartcraft Paper ~ Heart Cupcake

Hi everyone,

Today I am showing you my fourth and final creation for the month of August 2018 that I made for Heartcraft Paper design team to show you all! Click on each image for a much larger and clearer view. 😊 I do apologise in advance for no process photos for this blog post.

Ok...lets have a look at what I made! 😄
Now lets see how I made it!

First I grabbed one piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and cut it down to 11 inches by 4 1/4 inches with my Fiskars trimmer and folded it in half while using my Teflon Bone Folder to make it fold nicely, this will be my card base. I then chose the digital stamp I wanted to use "Heart Cupcake" and cropped and resized it to about 1 14/16 inches wide by 3 1/8 inches tall on a Word document and then printed it onto some X-Press It Blending Card so I could use my Copic markers.
I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the "Heart Cupcake" image.
After a couple of days of letting the ink set on the X-Press It Blending Card I grabbed the following Copic markers to colour in the "Heart Cupcake" image (E21, E59, R29, R81, BV02 and YG41).
I went around the edges of the cupcake image with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker pen to make it look more tidy.

I used a piece of patterned paper from an American Crafts 6x6 inch paper pad using my Sizzix Big Shot to cut it with a die from My Favorite Things called A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 (4" x 5 1/4") which will be the card front and also the background for the "Heart Cupcake" and sentiment.
I adhered the background with some 1/4" sized Scor Tape onto the card base.

I used a piece of patterned paper from a Lawn Fawn 6x6 inch paper pad using my Sizzix Big Shot to cut it with a die from My Favorite Things called Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX (3 3/8"). I used some Tombow Multi Mono liquid glue to glue the "Heart Cupcake" image onto the Lawn Fawn patterned paper. I then used 1/4" sized Scor Tape to stick the circle onto the card base.

I altered a die from My Favorite Things called Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX (5/8" x 4 1/2") to make a double sided stitched fishtail banner for my sentiment. I then used a Copic marker (BG10) to colour in the banner. I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Happy Happy stamp set for the sentiment using my Tim Holtz Travel Platform with My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink in Black Licorice.
I adhered the sentiment with 1/4" sized Scor Tape onto the card base.

I ended up adding some Wink of Stella with the clear brush pen onto the "Heart Cupcake" wrapper to add some sparkle.

Heartcraft Paper ~ Birthday Peonies

Hi everyone,

Today I am showing you my third creation that I made for Heartcraft Paper design team to show you all! Click on each image for a much larger and clearer view. 😊 I do apologise in advance for no process photos for this blog post.

Ok...lets have a look at what I made! 😄
Now lets see how I made it!

First I grabbed one piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and cut it down to 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches with my Tim Holtz Maxi Trimmer and folded it in half while using my Teflon Bone Folder to make it fold nicely, this will be my card base. I then chose the digital stamp I wanted to use "Scent With Love" and cropped and resized it to three different sizes on a Word document and then printed it onto some X-Press It Blending Card so I could use my Copic markers.
I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the three peonies from "Scent With Love".
After a couple of days of letting the ink set on the X-Press It Blending Card I grabbed the following Copic markers to colour in the "Scent With Love" images (RV21, RV23, YG17 and YG67).

I trimmed a piece of patterned paper from an ALDI 12x12 inch paper pad down to 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches with my Tim Holtz Maxi Trimmer which will be the card front and also the background for the peonies and sentiment.

I adhered the background and the peonies onto the background with some Tombow Multi Mono Glue. I trimmed off the overhanging peony petals and leaves with my Tim Holtz 8.5" Trimmer.

I decided to use Word on my computer and printer to print up a customised sentiment for the card. It's my Nan's birthday at the end of this month so I hope she will like this card! (She won't see this as she doesn't use the internet and doesn't know how to use it either) The font is called "Snell Roundhand" and the size is 38.

After printing the sentiment out onto some scrap piece of the patterned paper I used for the background I ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot with a My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags STAX die. I felt like the sentiment wasn't "popping" out so I used a Memento pen/marker in the colour Tuxedo Black to colour along the outside of the stitched border.
I then adhered the sentiment onto the card front with some 1/4" sized Scor Tape.

The card was now finished but it looked so...boring, so I decided to add some sparkles using a clear brush Wink of Stella pen to add onto the "Scent With Love" peonies petals, stems and leaves.

Heartcraft Paper ~ You're A Rare Find

Hi everyone,

Today I am showing you my second creation that I made for Heartcraft Paper design team to show you all! Click on each image for a much larger and clearer view. 😊 I do apologise in advance for the not so great quality photos for this blog post, I was mucking around with my camera and accidentally changed the settings and forgot to switch it back.

I then chose the digital stamp I wanted to use "Pegasus Prance" and cropped and resized it to about 3 3/4 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches tall on Word document and then printed it onto some X-Press It Blending Card so I could use my Copic markers.
After a couple of days of letting the ink set on the X-Press It Blending Card I grabbed the following Copic markers to colour in "Pegasus Prance" image (V01, V12 and V17).
I grabbed a piece of blue cardstock and cut it down to 6x6 inches with my Tim Holtz Maxi Trimmer.
I then used an Echo Park 6x6 inch stencil from the Imagine That range which is called Sweet Dreams.
I used the Viva Decor Glitter-Paste in Holo Iridescent with my Prima Finnabair Art Basics Mixed Media 2 inch silicone brush with the stencil onto the blue cardstock to add some sparkle and to create a really fun background.
I cut a piece of Bazzill Basics Mylar paper in the colour Blue down to 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches which will be my card front. I used a My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 die (5 1/4" x 4") with my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the sparkly cloud background which will go on top of the Mylar paper. I adhered the background onto the Mylar paper with 1/4" Scor Tape.
I used some scrap piece of X-Press It Blending Card and coloured it in with a Copic marker (B00) and then I used a stamp set from Beth Duff Designs called Seas the Day to stamp out the sentiment "You're a rare find" with my Tim Holtz travel platform using a My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink in Black Licorice. I then trimmed it down with my Tim Holtz 8.5" Trimmer. I adhered the sentiment with some Scotch 3D Foam Tape to make it 'POP' from the card.
I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the "Pegasus Prance" image and then cut out a silhouette image of "Pegasus Prance" with the Mylar paper with a 0.04" offset. I adhered the coloured and silhouette version of the "Pegasus Prance" image with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue.

Heartcraft Paper Blog Hop and Challenge #2

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to share with you all my very first creation for the month of August for Heartcraft Paper Design Team, Blog Hop and second Anything Goes Challenge. I was so excited when Monica showed us this month's release! I can't believe it's already August! 😱
Now let's have a look at what I made! Click on each image for a much larger and clearer view. 😊
Now lets see how I made it!! 😊

First I chose the digital stamp I wanted to use "Pegasus at Rest" and cropped and resized it to about 3 3/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches and then printed it onto some X-Press It Blending Card so I could use my Copic markers.

After a couple of days of letting the ink set on the X-Press It Blending Card I grabbed one piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and cut it down to 11 inches by 4 1/4 inches with my Fiskars 12 inch trimmer and folded it in half while using my Teflon Bone Folder to make it fold nicely, this will be my card base.
I cut a piece of blue cardstock to 6 inches by 4 1/4 inches. I then used an awesome cloud stamp from Katzelkraft with Brilliance Pigment Ink in the colour Moonlight White using the Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform. I love the textured look it gives!
I cut a piece of a yellow creamy colour cardstock at 1 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches and used the sentiment "Sometimes it is okay to not be okay" from Kindred Stamps Spoonie Squad stamp set. I stamped it with the Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform using Distress Oxide ink in the colour Black Soot.
I coloured in "Pegasus at Rest" with the following Copic marker colours (C0, C3, YG06, BG01 and V12). I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut the "Pegasus at Rest" image.

I used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the sentiment with My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags STAX and altered it to become a stitched rectangle. I also used another die from My Favorite Things called Grassy Edges to cut out a strip of grass with some light green cardstock.

I adhered the grass onto the blue cardstock with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue and then trimmed the card front down to 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches using my Tim Holtz 8.5 trimmer and then glued everything onto the card base with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue.
I then added some clear Wink of Stella to the "Pegasus at Rest" image to give it that magical sparkling look.

Heartcraft Paper "Robot Alien" CELE-BRATE!

Hi everyone,

Today I am showing you my fourth and final creation for the month of July 2018 that I made for Heartcraft Paper design team to show you all! Click on each image for a much larger and clearer view. 😊

Ok so when I saw this cutting file that Monica from Heartcraft Paper created I had the perfect idea on how I would use it! This would be an EX-TREME-LY awesome card for your loved ones whether it be friends or family and is possibly also a fan of a certain UK TV series. 😜
Now lets see how I made it!

First I grabbed one piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and cut it down to 11 inches by 4 1/4 inches with my Fiskars 12 inch trimmer and folded it in half while using my Teflon Bone Folder to make it fold nicely, this will be my card base.
I then chose the digital cutting file I wanted to use "Party Speech Bubbles" and resized it to about 1 1/2 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall on Silhouette studio and flipped one speech bubble the opposite way so it was mirror image and then sent it to my Silhouette Cameo to cut it onto some random piece of Australian A4 white cardstock.
I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the "Robot Alien" image from Kindred Stamps "Time Traveler" onto some X-Press It Blending Card with my Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform and then I grabbed the following Copic markers to colour in the "Robot Alien" image (C3, C5, B23, B28, BV25, Y21 and R29).
I then grabbed a piece of Australian A4 sized Arches Aquarelle watercolour paper and used my Tim Holtz 8.5 trimmer to cut it down to 6 by 6 inches so it gave me some room for any mistakes before cutting it down to 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches.
I used the following Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks to create the galaxy background (Black Soot, Hickory Smoke, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac.
I then added some Brilliance Pigment Ink (Starlite Silver and Moonlight White) to make the galaxy more galaxy and star like I guess? 😄
I used my Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks again to add colour to the "Party Speech Bubbles" but only used (Black Soot, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet).
I then decided to add some Wow! Embossing Powder in the colour Clear Hologram Sparkle Embossing Glitter to the "Party Speech Bubbles" to make it 'POP' from the background.
Then I decided it was too hard to see on the background so ran the "Party Speech Bubbles" through my Brother Scan N Cut then cut out a 0.08" offset with the same random Australian A4 sized white cardstock. I used a Copic marker (Y21) to colour the "Party Speech Bubbles" background.
I used my Tim Holtz 8.5 trimmer again to cut the background down to 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches.
I added the letters to the "Party Speech Bubbles" with the Quickie Glue pen by Sakura and coloured the letters in with Copic marker (Y21) and a random fine tip black permanent marker. I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the "Robot Alien".

I glued the card front to the card base with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue and then adhered all of the elements onto the card front with some Scotch 3D Foam Tape.
