Heartcraft Paper Blog Hop and Challenge #2

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to share with you all my very first creation for the month of August for Heartcraft Paper Design Team, Blog Hop and second Anything Goes Challenge. I was so excited when Monica showed us this month's release! I can't believe it's already August! 😱
Now let's have a look at what I made! Click on each image for a much larger and clearer view. 😊
Now lets see how I made it!! 😊

First I chose the digital stamp I wanted to use "Pegasus at Rest" and cropped and resized it to about 3 3/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches and then printed it onto some X-Press It Blending Card so I could use my Copic markers.

After a couple of days of letting the ink set on the X-Press It Blending Card I grabbed one piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and cut it down to 11 inches by 4 1/4 inches with my Fiskars 12 inch trimmer and folded it in half while using my Teflon Bone Folder to make it fold nicely, this will be my card base.
I cut a piece of blue cardstock to 6 inches by 4 1/4 inches. I then used an awesome cloud stamp from Katzelkraft with Brilliance Pigment Ink in the colour Moonlight White using the Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform. I love the textured look it gives!
I cut a piece of a yellow creamy colour cardstock at 1 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches and used the sentiment "Sometimes it is okay to not be okay" from Kindred Stamps Spoonie Squad stamp set. I stamped it with the Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform using Distress Oxide ink in the colour Black Soot.
I coloured in "Pegasus at Rest" with the following Copic marker colours (C0, C3, YG06, BG01 and V12). I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut the "Pegasus at Rest" image.

I used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the sentiment with My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags STAX and altered it to become a stitched rectangle. I also used another die from My Favorite Things called Grassy Edges to cut out a strip of grass with some light green cardstock.

I adhered the grass onto the blue cardstock with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue and then trimmed the card front down to 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches using my Tim Holtz 8.5 trimmer and then glued everything onto the card base with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue.
I then added some clear Wink of Stella to the "Pegasus at Rest" image to give it that magical sparkling look.

Heartcraft Paper Blog Hop and Challenge #1

Hi everyone,

Wow! It sure has been a while since I have posted to the blog. I am so excited to share with you all my very first creation for Heartcraft Paper's Blog Hop and Anything Goes Challenge. I was so excited when Monica, the owner of Heartcraft Paper contacted me for a full time spot on the Design Team!
Now let's have a look at what I made! 😊

Now for how I made it and what awesome things I used to make it! 😊

First I chose the digital stamp I wanted to use "Wesley" and resized it and altered the sentiment "HAVE A MAGICAL BIRTHDAY" from the "Wizarding Sentiments" digital sentiment set by adding the sparkles from another sentiment in the "Wizarding Sentiments" set and then printed it onto some X-Press It Blending Card so I could use my Copic markers.

After a couple of days of letting the ink set on the X-Press It Blending Card I grabbed one piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and cut it down to 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches with my Tim Holtz Maxi Trimmer and folded it in half while using my Teflon Bone Folder to make it fold nicely, this will be my card base.

I then found and bought this awesome digital printable scrapbook paper set from WickedSpiritFashion on Etsy which you can find HERE. I printed that on some random Australian sized A4 210gsm white cardstock that was lying in my craft room. I used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut the diamond check pattern paper with My Favorite Things A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 die (4" x 5 1/4").

I started to colour in "Wesley" with the following Copic marker colours (E21, E37, E41, E59, 100, C3, C5, C7, Y17, YR04, YR15 and R29) and the car with (Y00, 100, B000, C3, C5, C7, BG72, BG93 and YR07).

I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out "Wesley" and the car and cut out a plain white silhouette version with the offset tool 0.08" to make the image 'POP' and then I used my Sizzix Big Shot again this time with My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags STAX and altered it to become a stitched rectangle.

I then adhered everything onto the card base with Art Glitter clear adhesive.

Kindred Stamps ~ 2017 December Release Blog Hop ~ Demon Hunters

Hi everyone,

I am the lucky last on the Kindred Stamps Blog Hop! 😊 This is my first time being a Guest Designer for any company and also my first time participating in a Blog Hop!

I am so excited to show you all my projects for the Kindred Stamps 2017 December Release! When I was asked to be apart of the December Release and given this Demon Hunters stamp set I squealed! 😄

I made 3 projects which include an A2 card, an interactive A2 card and 2 bookmarks!

I will firstly start off with the 2 bookmarks. 😊

I die cut the bookmarks using a My Favorite Things die with some white cardstock and then used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks for the backgrounds. The Angel one I used "Peeled Paint" and for Moose and Squirrel I used "Broken China". I stamped the bees from a Lawn Fawn stamp set on the Angel bookmark and the sentiment 'my PEOPLE skills are RUSTY' from Demon Hunters with Brilliance Graphite Black ink. Moose and Squirrel sentiment 'Emotionally Attached to Fictional Characters' from Demon Hunters was also stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black ink, the star background is a stamp set from Lawn Fawn and I used Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink. I added some clear Wink of Stella to the bees and Angel's wings. I then laminated both bookmarks and then punched a hole using a Fiskars punch and then threaded some black and white twine through the punched holes.

Let's move onto the A2 interactive card! 😄

First I cut my card base at 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, and folded it in half. Then I cut the card frame (black cardstock) using My Favorite Things A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 ( 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" ).
I used another My Favorite Things die - A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 ( 4" x 5 1/4" ) for the card front using kraft cardstock, to make an interactive opening window for the card using a Lawn Fawn die. I used a My Favorite Things stamp for the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment and stamped with VersaMark ink then heat embossed it with some WOW! Embossing Powder. I thought the card front was a bit too...plain, so I added a cute red button and some red sequins to make the card POP! I also added some clear Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle to the Angel's wings.

Let's take a look inside the interactive card! 😊

I made a Christmas-y background on some white cardstock using Tim Holtz Distress ink "Abandoned Coral" and Distress Oxide ink "Cracked Pistachio" and then carefully used a water sprayer to spritz water onto the pistachio colour to make it look more fun.
I used an alphabet stamp set from Lawn Fawn to create the 'TO: YOU, FROM: and &' and I used 'MOOSE' and 'SQUIRREL' from the Demon Hunters set using Brilliance Graphite Black ink.
The Christmas hats were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black from a Lawn Fawn stamp set (one was mirror image stamped), I used Copic Ciao markers to colour them in and then added some clear Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.

Last but not least, the A2 card! 😄

First I cut my card base at 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, and folded it in half. Then I cut the card frame (black cardstock) using My Favorite Things A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 ( 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" ).
I cut the card front with My Favorite Things A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 ( 4" x 5 1/4" ).
I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Forest Moss" for the grass, "Faded Jeans" and "Black Soot" for the night sky and then used Brilliance Starlite Silver with a paint brush to splatter on some "stars".
I used a My Favorite Things die for the sentiment which I cut from some kraft cardstock, the sentiment 'My Prince Charming hunts demons, ghosts and monsters, has a brother and likes pie' was stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black ink.
________________________________________________

All of the Angel, Moose, Squirrel and Car images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card so I could use my alcohol markers to colour them in. Everything was adhered with Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue.
