Heartcraft Paper Gryffindor Magnetic Bookmark

Hi everyone,

Today I am showing you my second creation that I made for Heartcraft Paper design team to show you all! Click on each image for a much larger and clearer view. 😊
It was pretty fun and easy to make so I'm here to tell you all the details on how to make your own one for yourself or anyone who is a fan of a certain book and movie series. 😜

Now lets see how I made it!

First I chose the digital stamp I wanted to use "Gryffindor Crest" and cropped and resized it to about 3 inches or 3.15 inches tall on Word document and then printed it onto some X-Press It Blending Card so I could use my Copic markers.
After a couple of days of letting the ink set on the X-Press It Blending Card I grabbed the following Copic markers to colour in "Gryffindor Crest" image (E21, E33, E35, E59, Y17, R29, YG03, C3 and C5). I used a refillable black ink Copic Multiliner SP pen in the size 0.3mm to carefully colour in the diamonds and the Gryffindor letters.
I used a scrap piece of the diamond check pattern digital scrapbook paper from my first creation which you can find HERE that is sold by WickedSpiritFashion on Etsy which you can find HERE.
I used it to cut a piece at 1 1/2 inches by 4 inches which will be the bookmark flap.
I then used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the "Gryffindor Crest" with a 0.04" offset and cut out another silhouette version from the scrap piece of diamond check pattern digital scrapbook paper to go on the back of the main version which I coloured in as I thought it would look much nicer than having to see the markers stain/bleed.
I then used some Tombow Mono Liquid Adhesive on the main piece and flap and once I was happy with the position of it I then glued the diamond check piece onto the back of the main piece and flap.
I used my 5 inch Xyron Creative Station Lite and the Double Sided Laminate refill cartridge to laminate the whole thing. I love using this because you can cut right onto the edge of the image and it won't lift off the image like a regular electrical powered laminator does, you don't need to cut so far away from the image if that makes sense.
After cutting around the whole thing I then cut out two 1 inch by 1 1/2 inches pieces of Silhouette Adhesive Magnet Paper and then let the magnets line up on one another. I removed the adhesive backing on one side and added some Ranger Multi Medium Matte just for extra strength and lined it up where I wanted the piece and pressed the flap down onto it and then I carefully removed the other magnet adhesive backing and did the same thing and let it dry.
And voila! You have your very own "Gryffindor Crest" magnetic bookmark which you can use as a bookmark in a book, in your planner, or mark an important page for work or school so you can access that page easily and it shouldn't leave any nasty marks like a regular paperclip does and won't fall out or off like a regular bookmark. 😊
